The Arnold & Son UTTE
Arnold & Son is quickly becoming known for pushing complications to the extreme (like with the HM moonphase perpetual we showed you last week). Today we have their latest creation, the Ultra Thin Tourbillon Escapement, or UTTE for short. The UTTE comes in at a slim 8.34mm thick, making it the thinnest tourbillon-equipped fake watch available today.

As with most Arnold & Son watches, the in-house movement is really the star of the show with the UTTE. The brand new caliber A&S8200 is a 2.97mm thick tourbillon movement designed and made entirely by Arnold & Son in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It took years of development to create (as in-house calibers tend to do) and was specifically engineered to utilize the same dual-barrel system that Arnold & Son typically uses, resulting in an 80 hour power reserve. The tourbillon itself is 14mm in diameter, rotates once per minute (functioning as the running seconds), and makes a dramatic impact on the dial.
A Closer Look At The UTTE's Dial
Even though the movement is the key here, aesthetics certainly haven't been ignored with the UTTE. The 42mm case is rendered in either rose gold or palladium (not a metal you see too often) and both the movement and the dial are styled to compliment the case material. The gold fake watch has more ornate hand-engraving on the bridges, while the palladium edition has a clean, modern look.
